About the program creator

Built from two worlds

Alexander Mugford is a WAAPA-trained communication specialist and training clinician. He has been coaching medical interview candidates since 2019.

The Medicine MMI Performance Program was built because Alexander kept seeing the same thing: candidates who knew their medicine cold, walking out of interviews having underperformed. Not from lack of knowledge. From lack of delivery.

The program exists to fix that, with tools from professional performance training applied directly to the MMI format. These are not adapted techniques. They are the real thing, used by actors to perform under the most unforgiving conditions.
